The number of people who have been publicly verbally abusing and back-biting Robert Pattinson just because he got the role of Edward Cullen is horrifying.

Like an icon on Livejournal I downloaded: ALL I WANT FOR CHRISTMAS IS PEACE IN THE FANDOM.

First off, the people who say "But he doesn't look like Edward!", I say to you: HOW THE HELL DO YOU KNOW.
- You have not seen him as Edward. You have seen him as Cedric Diggory and some other character in Vanity Fair. Just because you have a limited imagination, doesn't mean his acting skills are the same way too.
- All we know about Edward is that he has "burnt copper hair", "alabaster skin", and "golden eyes". That and the fact that he's insanely beautiful. Thing is, "insanely beautiful" is a pretty general statement. (May I be excused for being cliche and mention that 'beauty is in the eye of the beholder'?)

Johnny Depp is the definition of sex-god for some, and Orlando Bloom is one for others. Nobody has the exact same idea of "BEAUTIFUL", and nobody has the exact same idea of "EDWARD". Therefore, the solution to this is to let Robert be Edward in the MOVIE. Nobody's asking you to change the Edward in your head- nobody CARES about the Edward in your head. This is Summit Entertainment's project, and this is who they picked, and it's a big deal for Stephenie.

SPEAKING of Stephenie, if you all claim to love her so much, why aren't you more supportive of her instead of pulling down the movie and telling people that it's "going to be a failure"? Huh? Some lot of fans you are.

Secondly, the people who say "He'll always be Cedric in my head", I say (again) to you: Just because YOU have a limited imagination, doesn't mean he's a bad actor. The fact that his acting was SO GOOD until his face is fixed in your mind wearing the nametag "RIP Cedric Diggory", that should be a positive sign innit?

THIRDLY, to the people who say he's "ugly", I just... WUT THE HELL?

YOU NEED GLASSES. LOOK AT THE MAN. HE IS NOT UGLY! One could argue that he is not strictly photogenic, yes, but HELLO- they're not making Twilight the Vogue Photoshoot or Twilight the Photoshop Contest*, they're making TWILIGHT THE MOVIE. REMEMBER THAT, PLEASE. It's all about the acting, and it doesn't matter if you hated him in Harry Potter- he's not going to be f*cking Cedric Diggory in Twilight!

ARGH!

*This is to the people who complain about having lack of material to work on, for their banners or icons or whatever, and then they use this as a reason to not like Robert.

But before today, when I've lived in Malaysia for almost 1.4 decades, I have never set foot on an LRT.

Went shopping for baju raya at Ampang Park. It's amazing- we go to that mall, that shop, roughly the same day and time, once a year, just to try on four to five outfits and pick out only two in the end.... and the saleswoman (remember, I meet her ONCE A YEAR) remembers my favourite colour.

But then again, we've been going to that store since...

wow, I've just realized that I have no memory of buying baju raya anywhere else! LOL
